Innovative Classrooms for Holistic Learning

Classroom Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, classrooms at Florence Academy are learner-centered, inclusive, experiential, and competency-based, designed to support holistic development at every level of schooling. The learning environment encourages curiosity, creativity, and active participation through a balanced blend of play-based activities, interactive teaching methods, and concept-driven instruction. Students develop strong foundational literacy, numeracy, communication, and social-emotional skills through storytelling, phonics, games, art integration, and hands-on learning experiences. As they progress, learning becomes more structured and interactive, with teachers using activity-based learning, group discussions, collaborative projects, and digital tools to deepen conceptual understanding and encourage teamwork and participation.

Classrooms also emphasize critical thinking, subject depth, and skill development through experiential learning, laboratory work, case studies, interdisciplinary projects, coding exposure, and vocational awareness activities. Students are further engaged through inquiry-based learning, research projects, presentations, and blended learning approaches, supported by competency-based assessments that focus on real understanding rather than rote memorization. Overall, the classrooms at Florence Academy are designed to nurture analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and confidence, preparing students for higher education, future careers, and lifelong learning in line with the goals of NEP 2020.
